Pixel Babes was founded by a nurse who saw first-hand the devastating impact breast cancer can have on women and their families. Although NFTs are normally thought solely as an investment opportunity, we invisioned a project that not only would be a profitable long-term investment, but also a project that had a clear mission in mind. Our mission is to use the platform that NFT technology is enabling us to have to make a true impact in the real world!

The #BabeSquad is tasked with researching and ultimately voting on 1 of 4 institutions they see fit to recieve our generous mint donation. We ask our community to take ownership in this endeavor, as each indidual will be recognized for taking part in such a meaningful project!
Now that you're becoming familiar with what Pixel Babes is all about, you must be wondering "what is the game plan here?" Below you will find our project roadmap, which consists of a list of milestones coupled with a brief description for each milestone.
2,222 Pixel Babes will become available to mint for 0.9 SOL each. After the intial mint, Pixel Babes will then become available on Solana NFT marketplaces.
Once all Pixel Babes have been minted, 20% of all proceeds will be donated to a breast cancer awareness foundation voted by YOU, the #BabeSquad. Additionally, 50% of royalties will also be donated to foundations voted by the #BabeSquad on a monthly bases.
Soon after the intial mint, development for our Pixel Babes Shop will begin! The store will be open to everyone, but Pixel Babes NFT holders will have access to the most valuable and exclusive items. 50% of profits made from the Pixel Babes Shop will be donated to foundations voted by the #BabeSquad on a monthly bases.
Pixel Babes 2.0 will give all holders the opportunity to evolve their babe into her new look. She will transform from pixel art to hand-drawn digital art. More information will come following the intial mint.
The Pixel Babes team will be producing their own coin, $PIXL. NFT Holders will receive a daily allowance of $PIXL for every Pixel Babes NFT they currently hold and have the ability to stake $PIXL. Holders may use $PIXL to participate in exclusive giveaways, purchase in-store items, participate in philanthropy, and more.
Production of Pixel Dudes will begin with the plan of incorporating breeding soon after. More information will be coming on our Roadmap 2.0.

Solana is a public blockchain platform. Its native cryptocurrency is SOL. Solana achieves consensus using a proof-of-stake mechanism, as well as a proof-of-history mechanism which improves scalability without sacrificing decentralization and security. SOL is available to purchase on every major cryptocurrency exchange, such as Coinbase.
In simple terms, "minting" an NFT refers to the process of turning a digital file into a crypto collectible or digital asset on the blockchain. The digital item or file is stored in this decentralized database or distributed ledger forever, and it is impossible to edit, modify, or delete it.
